ERIC DEVELOPS / MELBOURNE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026.

This website is operated by Eric Recinos, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Australia, and uses the Eric Develops brand. This policy explains how I handle personal information through website visits, enquiries and project communications.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email developer@ericrecinos.dev.

Information you provide

The enquiry form asks for your business name, name, email address and message. Your message may include your website address, project requirements or other details you choose to share. I also receive information when you email or otherwise contact me about a project.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form. If access to a client system is needed for agreed work, suitable access arrangements will be discussed separately.

You can browse the website without sending an enquiry. Without enough contact or project information, I may be unable to reply or prepare a proposal.

How I use your information

  • To respond to enquiries and discuss your project.
  • To prepare proposals, arrange agreed services and communicate about work.
  • To provide agreed support and maintain relevant business records.
  • To protect the website and investigate spam or technical problems.

Titan and Brevo are used for enquiry and project emails. Sending an enquiry does not add you to a newsletter or marketing list.

Website security information

The contact form uses WPForms and its built-in anti-spam protection. Hosting and security systems may record your IP address, browser details, pages requested and request times to help operate and protect the website.

Service providers and overseas processing

I use Bluehost for website hosting, Titan for the business email inbox and Brevo for email delivery and distribution. These providers process the information needed to operate the website and deliver messages. Website data and any website backup copies are stored on the Bluehost server.

Information may also be shared with professional advisers where needed for business administration, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Providers may process information outside Australia. Bluehost’s provider identifies processing in the United States and support activities in India and the Philippines. Titan uses providers based in the United States and other countries. Brevo identifies database storage in France, Germany and Belgium. Locations can vary with the service and its providers.

More details are available from Bluehost’s privacy notice, Titan’s privacy policy and Brevo’s privacy policy.

Analytics, cookies and browser storage

The live website uses WP Statistics to understand traffic and improve the site. Reports can include pages visited, referring websites, visit times, browser and device details, and approximate location derived from an IP address.

WP Statistics is configured to mask IP addresses and convert them into hashed identifiers before storage. Analytics records are held in the website’s WordPress database on Bluehost. WP Statistics uses no tracking cookies and does not send visitor analytics records to WP-Statistics.com.

Detailed analytics records are configured to be replaced with summary visitor and page-view totals after 180 days. Summary totals are retained for longer-term traffic reports.

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in. This website also uses session storage to remember whether the animated background has been paused during your browsing session. You can manage cookies and browser storage in your browser settings; blocking cookies alone does not stop cookie-free analytics.

For further details, see WP Statistics’ data and privacy information, or contact me using the email above.

How long I keep information

Unsuccessful enquiries are retained for 12 months after the last communication, then deleted or de-identified, unless a longer period is needed to meet a legal requirement or resolve an active dispute.

Information relating to successful projects is kept for as long as needed to provide agreed services, maintain relevant business records and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. Backup copies may remain until they expire through the normal backup cycle.

Protecting your information

I use reasonable safeguards, including restricted access and HTTPS on the website, to help protect information. No online system can guarantee complete security. Information that is no longer needed is securely deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable retention requirements.

Access, correction and complaints

Email developer@ericrecinos.dev to ask about information held about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. I may need enough information to verify your identity before releasing personal information.

For a complaint, describe your concern and how you would like it resolved. I will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time. If a request cannot be met, I will explain the reason where appropriate.

If you are not satisfied with the response, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner provides information about privacy rights and whether it can deal with your complaint.

External links and policy updates

External websites, including Instagram, have their own privacy policies. Review their policies when using those services.

I may update this policy when information-handling practices change. The latest version and its update date will appear on this page.
